I am happy to present to you with my first kit that features the brand new design by Maria Zilakou!
The kit includes:
* 1 skein of luxurious hand dyed sock weight yarn 50% Superwash Merino 50% Silk, with an option from 4 different colorways 100g (3,5 oz) 400m (437 yards) EU Needles 2,25- 4,5 (US: 1-7)
* Pattern instructions
* 1 silkscreen printed Project Bag; the printing technique makes each bag unique.
* 1 set of Cubic interchangeable knitting needles 4.5 mm (US 7)
* 1 tapestry needle
If you choose the option: "Without needles" you will not receive the Cubic interchangeable needles.
The pre-orders will be running until the 12th of October, then you will give me some more time to prepare them.... and, following that, we ‘ll be having a KAL, starting on the 16th of November until the 16th of December!
The ones that will finish their knitting before the KAL ends they will have the chance to win the next upcoming kit, in the colorway of their choosing!
So as you can see I did not do much on the holidays,,, but I worked like mad to prepare you knitting kits!
Each kit will be a NEW design that the designer and I have worked on, it will be first available as a pre-order and then I will have to dye the yarns and ship them to you for a big KAL!!! Isn't it that exciting???
The first kit is ready! You can pre-order! NOW!OVER HERE!!!
This beautiful ponchette, named Cyclades, was designed by a Greek designer Maria Zilakou! I loved the design immediately as you can wear it with everything and for any occasion: either at home, for a walk, over your little black dress at a party!
After the kits are sold as pre-orders, there will be a few on the website to purchase... but then the kit will disappear and won't be returning as a kit. SO GET YOURS!
You can choose over 4 colorways and make yours! As the yarn is hand dyed each skein is unique and so will be your ponchette! The kit will include the pattern, cubic needles 4,5 mm (US 7), a tapestry needle and a project bag.
The project bag is a simple Tote bag, but it is silkscreen printed and each has a slight different color as the dye isn't setting the same way to all of them, exactly like my yarns!
TréLiz is a celebration of color, of texture, of creativity.
#colorispower people!

I am back! and I am Blue lol! I am making progress with my camera, and I have actually found out that it takes around 10 mins video, I am not sure if I can change that... or will have to buy a new one.. anyways, please bare with me :)
Fiber Topic:
S3 Fibery Goodness course, more details here. For my first yarn, I am spindle spinning in the grease some Shetland, and I don't mind at all.. Actually I am finding it more easy to spin a steady single (whooo...me?). If you want to read more about Shetlands, you can go over here.
Dyeing:
I passed my first examination, and I can now continue with my second dyeing class with Natalie Redding from Namaste Farms!!! I had to choose colors I hated to make something beautiful in an oven dyeing... I have to say, that "hate" and "color" in a sentence is really not something I am comfortable with. I LOVE ALL COLORS. So I just used the ones, I am not a big fan of and some that I had never used before... so I didn't know how they would behave. The reuslt turned out verry pretty I am very happy with it. The only thing I would change is that in some areas I would not use so much dye so it would not turn out so dark.. But I am definetly pleased <3
I dyed some Border Leicester, I would have dyed more, but I am not sure I will have enough fiber until the end of the course... and for the moment I have troubles to order... (patience)
Knitting:
My test knit for Meiju Knits is over! I am so happy I managed to finish it before the deadline!!! Woohoo! "Someday Sweater" is a very beautiful, cozy, elegant pattern. Easy instructions, a bit tricky in the beginning but Meiju is very kind and will help you out if you are in trouble.. So if you are a beginner trying to spice things up a bit it is the perfect project! And if you are a more advanced knitter..tell me, just tell me: ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL? (toooo hot to wear...but beautiful) I knitted it with my "Vineyard" Limited colorway, that has sold out... maybe I will make another batch in the future.. we will see :)
Colorways in da shop:
Rhodochrosite: 75% Extra fine Merino 20% Silk 5% Stellina Sparkle- DK
Ammolite: 75% Extra fine Merino 20% Silk 5% Stellina Sparkle- DK The hat I have knitted up is FLUID by Karen MaCall (aka kaymadchi). Very easy pattern, for a warm head lol.
Rainbolicious: 75% Extra fine Merino 20% Silk 5% Stellina Sparkle- DK Maria Zilakou has used this yarn to make something beautiful... to be continued :)
a sneek pic:
Last but not least: Laurie's shop is awesome! Go and check it out over here!
The second Podcast is here! As you will see I have a few issues with my camera... but I managed to gather everything I wanted to say and show!
Fiber Topic: You will find more information about the Spin Box over Here, and I just found out that they ship internationally NOW! Yeah!
Check outSnerb aka Bren Boone <3 You will definetly love her!
(I will track down the other shops as well and list them...)
Tour de Fleece Progress: Trying to make all the recipy cards of FiberyGoodness, I am realising it might take more time to do them all... but I am happy learning the new techniques that are involved to make those yarns!
Journey to the Golden Fleece: I received my Certificate of Achievement finishing the Journey to the Golden Fleece course and I am very happy and proud!
Dyeing Certificate: You can read all you need to know over HERE. I just received the exam questions... and I hope to get them right!!
I really like to dye fiber from the animal, it makes you more connected with the animal and I learn so much for each breed! It is pretty amazing!
The next Journey: S3 I am soooo excited! 7 yarns to go from smooth to untraditional, a historical process of yarn. I have decided to make it more personal and go through places that mean something to me.. It is funny but only when I watched the video I realised that I had France and then Paris.. but it is more the French influence of my roots... and then Paris as a city, a place I have visit and lived and my memories.. and let's not forget, Paris is always a good idea.
If you want to learn more about it: it is over HERE.
Knitting: Thank you Denknitsfor designing those beauties. Go and check her ravelry.
Here you will find all the infos that I am talking about!
First of all, The Fiberygooness Courses, you will find all three courses they have: The Journey to the Golden Fleece, S3: Sketch, Spin and Scribe, and their dyeing course with Natalie fromNamaste Farms.
I really love the community that Suzy Brown, aka Wool Wench, and Arlene Thayer, aka Spin Artiste, have created with Fiberygoodness... If you are searching to learn new techniques and challenge yourself, or just need some fibery friends to hang out... that is the place to go! You will find their "recipe cards" in their website.
I mention Natalie Redding from Namaste farms, she is fierce! I love her attitude about being yourself and just make a technique or dye the way it works best for you. And she does! and I do! Of course sometimes I will note something.. but really... It will be 5 words and I am done. Of course, she has the most amazing fleeces and longwools you can get!
The Tour de Fleece has started, and I love my first yarn I have done from the recipe cards, which is the "Piwakawaka".. (I managed to pronounce it falsely in the end lol)
Let's talk knitting...
My test knit forMeiju Knits, it is the "Someday Sweater" in my limited colorway"Vineyard" that I truelly like <3
I am not only using my yarn when I knit, it just happened now... Maybe next time I can show you some of my knitting with yarn from other indie dyers that I admire :)

Thank you for your time..and don't forget
COLOR IS POWER AND FIBER IS MY WEAPON
