FAQs
What would you find in Tréliz?
Tréliz is a collection of yarn and fiber that are hand processed. You will find hand dyed or hand painted yarns, and hand spun yarns by fiber artist Lise Condis.
Our main concern, is that our products are eco-friendly, hand made and unique.
What dyes do you use?
Tréliz yarns and fibers are dyed using colors found in nature (flowers, seeds, roots), food colors and/or Professional Acid Dyes, which have minimum impact on the environment as we exhaust each dyepot so all the colour is absorbed onto our yarn and the water is clear and safe to use again for our next batch. This is achieved by meticulous calculations and recipes that we have created to be exact, efficient and environmentally friendly as we can.
Colorways will vary depending on fibre content of the yarn. We try to take accurate photos to display our yarns, but there might be alternations due to different monitors and how they display it.
Speckles and spots of color may be present in some colorways, they are generally meant to be there as the yarn is hand dyed or painted- sometimes you may find a spot on a skein this is common with hand dying and adds to its unique beauty.
How do I care for my yarns?
Most yarns should be hand washed in cold water with a gentle detergent. Our hand dyed yarns are carefully treated so the color shall last forever, but a very small amount of leaking may occur in the first wash. Wash separately to other garments.
