I had the joy to test-knit this beautiful slipover for Meiju. The pattern is available through ravelry, over here.
Yarns:
Samskara - 60% Super Fine Merino 40% Recycled Yak & Cashmere
Fingering weight
50gr 200 mtrs
Eu Needles 2,25-4, 5 mm (US: 1- 7)
and
Poseidon: 72% Kid Mohair 28% Silk
Lace Weight
50 g (1,7 oz) skeins 420m (459 yards)
Eu Needles 1,5 - 2,25mm (US: 000 - 1)
Notes on my version: This design uses a worsted/bulky yarn, I held together two yarns together to achieve a similar effect, as one of them is a natural non-superwash it tends to fluff up and the ither a mohair so it traps warmth. My gauge for 5,5mm was of 17sts instead of 15sts that the pattern asks for, which I didn’t mind and didn’t affect much the end result garment as it is quite elastic, with a s oft drape and has lots of positive ease. I made the size 2 using Samskara in “Machu Pichu” & Poseidon in “Birthday Girl”.
