It is time.. For you to meet the "Kundalini" collection! And who ever talks about Kundalini energy, will have to mention the chakras. 

So what are they?

A Chakra (Sanskrit: "wheel") is thought to be an energy point in the subtle body. Chakras are believed to be part of the subtle body, not the physical body, and as such, are the meeting points of the non-physical energy channels called nadi. Nadi are believed to be channels in the subtle body through which the life force or vital energy moves. Various scriptural texts and teachings present a different number of chakras. It's believed that there are many chakras in the subtle human body, according to the tantric texts, but there are seven chakras that are considered to be the most important ones.

Each chakra contains special characteristics and with proper training, moving Kundalini through these chakras can help express or open these characteristics.

Let's meet them, shall we? I will only briefly say a few things about each one of them and as you will quickly understand each chakra vibrates to a specific color... So working/ eating/ surrounding yourself with that specific color, clears blockages in that specific chakra...And you guessed it: Color Is Power! So let's color heal!

1) Muladhara: The Root Chakra

The energy center at the base of our spine, connects to our sense of groundedness as well as instincts of survival. When off balance, it can make us feel low energy, alienated, and easily angered. When in balance, it makes us feel secure, stable, full of health, energy and vitality.

The Muladhara's element is Earth, so simply going outdoors and experiencing the soundsand smells of Nature wil have a positive effect. Sit on the grass, under a tree and allow yourself to absorb these earthy energies.

2) Svadhistana: The Sacral Chakra

The second chakra, locates in the reproductive are, connects to our feelings, emotions, sexuality and creativity. When off balance we may feel jealousy, guilt, possessiveness, shame of our body/sexuality. When in balance this chakra brings us grace, flexiility, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment and creativity.

The Svadhistana's element us water so spending time by the ocean, a lake or river, taking walks by the water or sitting with its view, going swimming, is especiallyy energizing for this chakra. Drink more water.

3) Manipura: The Solar Plexus Chakra

The third chakra, locates in our solar plexus, connects to our ego, will, personal power and autonomy. When off balance it can threaten our self confidence, cause depression and confusion. When in balance it brings us harmony and protection, the feeling of being comfortable with oneself and with others.

Manipura's element is fire, so invite the energies of the fire by sitting, dancing, singing and laughing with friends around a bonfire. Get into the full light of the sun and take an invigorating walk.

4) Anahata: The Heart Chakra

The fourth chakra, is located in the region of the heart, connects us to our emotional self, bringing harmony, forgiveness, sincerity and love. When off balance it can lead to over-loving, jealousy, abandonment, anger, loneliness andd bitteness. When in balance we fell joy, love, gratitude and compassion. 

The Anahata's element is air so connect to the wind to nurture your heart. Drive with the windows open or fly a kite in a breezy day. Practice deep breathing during a heart focused medidation.

5) Vishuddhi: The Throat Chakra

The fifth chakra, located in the throa region, connects us to our expression self, renforcing communication, speech and healing. When off balance there may be issues of self-expression, fear of no poweror control. When in balance, we can express our truth without worrying about what others may think.

The Vishuddhi's element is ether (sky) and is related to our communication, so express yourself by singing a song, calling a friend, writting a letter to someone you love or to yourself. 

6) Ajna: The Third Eye Chakra 

The sixth chakra is located in the midde of the eyebrows, connects to our cosmic insight. When off balance there may be moodiness, day-dreaming and distrust. When in balance, we feel open and focused, a deep spiritual connection, strong morality and can easily determine between truth and illusion.

The Ajna's element is light, so light therapy, sitting in stilness in nature basking in the sunlight or lying quietly with an eye pillow is energizing. 

7) Sahasrara: The Crown Chakra

The seventh chakra, located at the top of the head connects us to our higher cnsciousness. When off balance there may be depression, an inability to learn, rigid thoughts on religion, constant confusion and a fear of alienation. When in balance, we live in the now with a strong trust in our inner guidance.

Sahasrara is connected with all the elements.

So now surround yourself with Color! No Chakra is more or less important than the other,  as no color is more or less important on a rainbow! All are needed to create White light!
