Why this Revolution?
One of my biggest fears is...
That people get bored of what I am saying!
Don't get me wrong.. I know that I am not boring (loool), I just do not want to be repetitive of other peoples ideas etc.. I want to share my ideas my colors, my energy with you... and be something new!
Breath in, Breathe out... and Dive!
I had the idea of some provocative skeins a while back.. but thought that it might "shock" people or that I would get a "bad" reputation (lol not that I really care.. I am so sweet hehe) But something in me was saying me "do it, you have nothing to lose"... So I decided to ask 3 people for feedback on the idea. Two of them thought it was brilliant and one was very skeptic (of course the skeptic one was my Dad... so he did not really count lol).
Negative feedback is the best!
He was skeptic on how my clients would receive the names, are they going to be offended? scared? think I am crazy? Talking with him, made me think about arguments: why this is a good idea? I want to reach out to the new generation of knitters/crocheters that understand what I am talking about. What about older people? The ones that are cool/ humorous/that want something refreshing will enjoy it also! (Gave him a few examples of people that would LOOOOVEE to say "F*ck Off I'm Knitting", and people that need to hear it lol). I added, that my colorways are bright and fiesty, so they need appropriate names... The product calls for it.
Bottom line? DO IT!
The Cherry on top of the cake was, when I took a test to find my Archetype... Guess what? I am a "Revolutionnary"! BAM, I HAD TO DO IT!
10 colorways later...
I am very happy I did! I love the colorways, the names, the "Dare Yourself" pattern by Maria Zilakou (that you can find over here to pre-order). I am not just happy because it was received well, but because I was true to what my guts were telling me... I choose to listen to my inner voice "Come on, you want to shake it, spice it a bit..." "Color is power fiber is My Weapon, you say... take it further and see where it takes you..." I have no idea where it is taking me but I love it!
And don't forget..! to cross the lines from time to time!
